For Entrepreneurial Ventures class, we devised the idea for the GoPack. The idea stemmed from consumer frustrations in the travel sector. Often when going to a new destination, you don’t have the correct accessories, or you have to buy many items you only plan to use once or twice. We wanted to know: How can we provide vacationers and travelers with the gear and gadgets they need for their trip without having to purchase and pack these items ahead of time?

The GoPack team has completed significant feasibility research on the outdoor adventure market and the sharing economy industry in both a micro and macro context. Through this research, the team was able to identify millennial consumers (ages 24 to 39) earning $60,000 to $120,000 as the target market as they are more willing to rent used items from local providers than new items from large service providers. Based on our revenue projections, even a conservative model projects GoPack to be a feasible venture.
